WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH DELIVERY?
Prices for the free or discounted delivery program include in-place home delivery of your fully-built / prefab coop.
WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?
Delivery is available in the continental US. Sorry, we currently cannot deliver to Alaska, Hawaii or outside the US.
HOW LONG DOES DELIVERY TAKE?
From the time that we get your order until your coop is delivered could happen in as little as three weeks but is more likely to take between 6 to 8 weeks east of the Mississippi. West of the Mississippi usually takes a bit longer. Plan 8 to 10 weeks out though delivery could be as long at 12 weeks.
Discounted priced deliveries are grouped by region and delivered when several orders are ready to go. Regular delivery coops are usually delivered as soon as possible once they are built even if there is only one coop going to an area.
HOW SHOULD THE GROUND THAT WILL BE UNDER THE COOP, BE PREPARED?
Ground needs to be flat and water needs to drain away the the area that the coop and/or run are placed. Coops can and are often placed directly on the ground or grass. Pressure treated wood runners that are standard hold up well under these conditions.
Coops can also be placed on concrete or other base materials as long as water does not pool around the bottom of the coop.
HOW ARE COOPS DELIVERED?
Our tried-and-true method for delivery of undamaged coops and happy customers is to ship your coop on an open air trailer or for longer distances, sometimes in an enclosed trailer. Our contracted drivers are familiar with residential delivery of fully pre-built chicken coops.
Your driver will place the coop at your desired location in the yard if possible and safe to do so. There must be adequate space to maneuver the truck or the portable moving equipment. Allow at least 10' of width or 2' wider than the coop's smallest dimension. Steep inclines and declines, steps, walls, gates and other barriers are prohibitive and cannot be in the path from the road to the coop's destination. Drives will not dismantle, unassembled or in any way move barriers unless this is agreed to in advance. Please have your yard ready for delivery when the driver arrives. If you have questions, we are happy to help
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
Please note that our trucks and coops are heavy. There may be marks or damage to surfaces that have been driven over. We are not liable for normal wear and tear to your yard, which can be substantial depending on conditions. If you do not want your coop to be put into your yard, we are happy to deliver it curbside. If the ground is very wet, we cannot usually put the coop in place since the truck may become stuck. If it is especially wet, please re-schedule your delivery at the earliest time that you can. You can also pick your coop up yourself.
